Is your website “broken”? Use this easy check to find out

by Andy Tolbert  - March 29, 2013

Ok, I don’t really mean your whole site is broken, just some of the links!  A broken link means when a visitor is on your mortgage website or real estate website and they click on something they get a “page not found” message or it goes to the wrong place.

Not only is this frustrating for your site visitors (and maybe even a tad unprofessional?) it also is frustrating to the search engine spiders and can be detrimental to your site’s SEO performance!

Here’s a quick way to check your site for broken links:

If you are using a specific tool for your website such as WordPress, check to see if there’s a plugin you can install such as “Broken Link Checker” which will let you know anytime it finds a broken link.

Or, just go to www.BrokenLinkCheck.com and type in your website name and it will do a quick search for you… I just did this site and I’m all clear!

Check yours right now while it’s in your mind and let us know how you did!
